Take your even size minus one for a great everyday fit.  For a locked and loaded fit you can size down one more especially if you aren't super tummy heavy.

Regular 2-16 Regular Sizing: Take your smallest EVEN size pant size and size down ONE (IE size 8/9 wears a 7 and 12/13 wears an 11) for a soft fit waist. 

Size down TWO if you don’t carry weight in your tummy (IE Size 8/9 skip the 7, wear the 5 and 12/13 skip the 11 to wear the 9) for a fitted waist

Size 16/17 wears a 15

Size 14/15 wears a 13

Size 12/13 wears an 11

Size 10/11 wears a 9
